Previously I had a profile for general use, and one that I toggled on before I started a game (headphones = I don't care if the fans are loud) and that is basically what I want to go back to. My custom loop is nine Corsair ML fans (non-RGB) and they ran fine off the motherboard headers on my Asus Z370. They're currently hooked up (via an Arctic Cooling PWM splitter) to a cheap standalone thermal sensor PWM control PCB, to get around the fact my X570 motherboard doesn't have a temperature sensor header. In either instance though, they're running just fine off generic, standard PWM signals. Don't allow any over/under clocking/volting or any of that other _rap.However once you get into Corsair's proprietary fan hubs and controller modules, they only connect to the motherboard via USB, at which point you need software that can 'speak' the right protocols as far as I'm aware, this means you have to use their software. In your game profile, select the options you want for AA, Enhanced Sync, etc In Global settings, select the options for anti-alias, etc.but do not touch or open Global Wattman. Reset the profile/Wattman settings to default (use the icon) To do this.reset (use the icon) the Global settings. Zero RPM is automatically disabled if any changes are made in the Tuning menu. The GPU fans should spin up as the GPU is put under load and temperature increases. Zero RPM enables quiet operation whilst the GPU is under light load and is enabled by default. This can be clearly seen by running hardware Monitor in the background while playing a game Open Hardware Monitor - Core temp, fan speed and voltages in a free software gadget , then check it when you quit. When you are playing a game/app with a manual fan/temp setting that is the profile that is used while playing and as soon as you quit the app/ reverts to Global settings. Zero Rpm should be applied in Global settings. Zero RPM should never be applied in a game profile.
